Schedule Tasks With A Magnetic Calendar

Uncategorized No Comments

With the hectic everyday lives of most people, the use of calendars is essential to keep track of everything. When choosing the type of calendar for a person’s needs, one should consider the use of magnetic calendars. For many individuals, calendars are chiefly utilized to keep track of the date. Yet, other people utilize them to recall significant events, delivery and labor schedules, and many others. The magnetic calendar is one of the top alternative for calendars today. With the benefit of being magnetized, it can be placed on a refrigerator or a school locker door. Depending on what is to be kept track of on it, sizes and styles vary.

Regular monthly calendars have the months, dates, and the year already printed on them. These are ideal for basic functions such as reminding birthdays or a personal work schedule. The different images available on these calendars is very wide, which is a great aid in accommodating an individual’s preferences. The standard monthly calendar is usually found in paper format and in sizes that range from pocket book to wall.

The use of a blank monthly calendar is standard for businesses and organizations, such as ones that deal with fund raising. With the slots open, the individual is able to fill in the month and date, as well as the information needed for that day. This type of calendar offers a larger date box for recording more information. Again, an individual can find blank monthly calendars in different designs and sizes depending on his or her preferences.

Businesses can benefit from using blank monthly calendars for many reasons. For in labor scheduling, in-store deliveries and meetings, this type would be perfect. Instead of making use the traditional calendar, a business will find that using a dry-erase calendar is more favorable for the business. With the dry-erase calendar, an individual can simply erase the writings on the face of the board as well as make modifications on the indicated information without being messy.

Fund-raising organizations could benefit from this type because it would enable them to adjust goals, schedule events, and track money totals without causing confusion, which is important for this type of organization. Keeping a strict record of these things is imperative for a fundraiser’s success.

Families, of course, must use a monthly calendar of the same kind. Majority of families have a greatly hectic schedule to monitor, and that does not include birthdays and holidays~Majority of families have a greatly hectic schedule to monitor, and that does not include birthdays and holidays}. Children have sporting events and practices, band or choir concerts and practices, and field trips to remember. Parents rely more on the calendar than their children, when it comes to reminding them of these things. A magnetic calendar works well for the family setting, because it is usually found in the center of most home activity, the refrigerator. if a family has few events planned, using a smaller calendae will do the work. For a family of three children that all involve in sports, choir, band, or other after-school activities then a wider magnetic calendar is necessary. The blank monthly calendar is an ideal type to go with the situation, as well, for the extra space allocated notes.

Classrooms widely use magnetic calendars on blackboards. Individual children’s goals, recess times, lunch times, and activities are recorded on these for all to see. Teachers want their children to learn how to keep track of their lives, even at a young age. In doing so, they are teaching them not only the regular school academics, but also respect and a moral value. Smaller, paper type monthly calendars can usually be found in addition to the larger ones, which hold the children’s birthdays and holidays.

Where are Your Habits Leading You?

Where are Your Habits Leading You?
by Jack Canfield

Your Habits will Determine Your FutureYou are an accumulation of your habits. From how you get out of bed, how you shower, how you dress, how you walk, sit, and talk, how you respond to the world, how you act in front of others, and how you think; you’re living out your habits.

Habits are necessary.

They free up your mind so you can concentrate on how to survive day to day. You don’t have to think about how to drive your car so you can be on the lookout for danger while you are driving. You don’t have to think about how to walk so you can concentrate on where you’re going.

Unfortunately, habits can also keep you locked in self-destructive patterns, which will limit your success.

Is there something you want to accomplish in life that requires you to up-level your game? Whatever it is that you want to achieve, you will need to drop those bad habits that are lead to a dead-end and develop new ones that are in alignment with the life you want to live.

People don’t suddenly appear in the life they want to live… their habits play a large part in determining their outcome.

What are the habits you have that are keeping you from achieving your goals?

Really be honest with yourself here…

Are you always running late?
Do you return phone calls within 24 hours?
Do you get enough sleep?
Do you follow through on your promises?
Do you plan out your day?

Imagine what your life would be like if all your habits were their productive counterparts!

  • What would your life be like if you ate healthy meals, exercised and got enough sleep?
  • What if you saved your money, stopped using credit cards and paid cash for everything?
  • What if you stopped procrastinating, overcame your fears, and began networking with people in your field?
  • Would your life be different? I bet it would!

So, my suggested action step for you is to write down some productive habits you could adopt and visualize in your life. Step two is to ‘act as if’ you were living these new habits right now!

I’d like to help you get moving toward creating more successful habits, so I’d recommend you develop four of your new success habits each year, one for each quarter.

Once you pick the new habit you’re ready to adopt, next you’ll want to create a method that will support your new habit.

Here are some ideas… You could write it down on a card that you keep with you and read several times a day. You could make it a part of your daily visualization. You could also enlist the help of an accountability partner who has habits to change, or work with a personal coach who can keep you on track.

It’s important to make a 100% commitment to your new habit, so be specific about the steps that you’re willing to take in order to drop an old habit and adopt a new one. Don’t be vague about how you will change your habits. Spell it out for yourself so you can recognize situations that motivate you to act out your new habit.

Just developing four new habits a year will dramatically shift your life to be more in line with your vision. And the more in line it becomes, the easier the other habits are to replace because your perspective is shifting and you can see more clearly how your old habits aren’t serving you anymore.

Make the decision. Make the commitment. Then watch your new, positive life unfold!

I’ll see you in another two weeks in the next edition of Success Strategies. In the meantime, take the time to implement just one of the strategies discussed in today’s issue.

How To Stay Inspired Beyond The First Few Steps

Motivation No Comments

Whatever your goals may be, staying motivated is essential in conquering these goals. Whether you are trying to lose weight or start your own business, staying inspired through the process may be a little harder as time goes by. It may not be hard to get motivated when you first begin, it’s carrying this inspiration beyond the first phase of your goal that may be hard. However, if you are dedicated to achieving your goal, read on for more tips on how to stay motivated.

Understand that reaching your goal will require hard work. If you are attempting to lose weight, and have signed on the help of a personal trainer but are feeling discouraged, push through these feelings. Remember that it took you a while to gain the weight in the first place, so it will take time to gradually lose the weight as well.

Keep your goal in mind. What is it that you want to conquer? If you have been trying so hard to achieve something for so long, you may start to lose sight of your ultimate goal. You simply get lost in the process. This is true for whatever your goal may be, if its work related or simply family oriented.

Maybe you thought that pregnancy first would be your priority once you reached your adult life. You’ve dreamt about a family for as long as you can remember, but you’re too busy for another responsibility. What do you do? Stay patient and really think about your priorities.

You may feel a bit discouraged when it seems like you’re not getting anything done right. However, stop this thought process and simply believe in your ability to achieve. If you do not believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. After all, you will teach people how to feel and think about you.

When you are feeling like you have not accomplished anything, think about your successes. Track your progress and look at all the good things you have done. This will help you get out of your negative state of mind.

Seek out help when you feel stuck. Humble yourself and know that it is ok to ask for help when you can not finish something on your own. This is applicable to the assembly of sleigh beds or the build up of your own business. When you need help, simply ask. Find someone who is qualified and seek out their help. This will help you avoid getting stuck and keep you moving forward and motivated.

It Appeared In the Mail

I am really getting the hang of visualisation. I’m currently on a steep learning curve and I seem to be able to see the big picture of how every little thing I am learning is coming together. I am on this momentum of success and it is simply rolling forward at great speed. So, I was thinking to myself about how I need to organise my insights and learning into a better place.

I’m currently using my diary, which is actually supposed to organise my time and project. It is known as the Rapid Planning Method by Tony Robbins. There isn’t enough space for me and it is not exactly the right place for me, even though there is space for journaling as well. In addition, it is too heavy for me to carry it around.

So, I started thinking about having a black journal. A book I have just read also mentioned getting a journal to record every learning point you gleam every day. Whatever action that you take, be it good or bad, write it down so that you can analyse it and do even better. The actual process of writing it down helps a lot as many of us are kinaesthetic in learning.

I do have keep some of my thoughts in word document because I type faster than I write. Whenever I watch videos online to learn about something new, I will type at the side to remind myself of what I have learnt. However, I feel I need a better place to organise everything.

Hence, I kept thinking about a journal, but just did not have time to get it. I was also thinking of saving some money. So, to my extraordinary delight, I received a black journal from Tony Robbins for my Mastery University course. It was totally unexpected, but I was not surprised to actually get such an item because I am putting out my thoughts.

This makes me think that I really ought to revisit my goals very often, say them aloud and really want them. It’s February and a month has passed since I last wrote down my goals. I see myself getting closer to my goals.

Excuse me while I go and write my thoughts in my black journal of a right handy size.

How To Achieve Goals – How To Set And Achieve Goals

Goal Setting 1 Comment

Learning how to achieve goals is an important step to bring about positive changes in your life. It acts as a beacon and guides you to the final destination you want. Goal setting is a very powerful tool whether you use it for business, personal, sports or any other purpose in life.

Many people failed to achieve their goals because at the first place, they do not have clear goals to achieve. They have too many goals. That is why their attention is not focused and is divided to different matter.

The simple key in attaining your goals is you through directing yourself towards the realization of a defined concrete goal. That is your starting point. If you already established that, you can start working on it by focusing your attention and avoiding distractions.

Remember that there are too many things in the world that can distract you in attaining your goal. Of course, it is important to do your best and give your maximum effort. Sometimes, the end goal in itself is not that important as in the process of achieving your desired goals.

Then, always remember that not everything is perfect so there are times that you will really encounter problems but consider them as challenges for you. If you failed once, you have to stand up and show the world that you are strong. Too many people give up easily once they encounter the first obstacle to your goals.

Learn Self Hypnosis And Make Positive Changes In You Life

Self Improvement 1 Comment

Discover, learn and use self hypnosis to overcome life’s challenges and achieve the extraordinary.

If you have something you desire to change or accomplish such as losing weight, overcoming a fear or to quit a 20 year smoking habit, believe it or not, self hypnosis can help you deal with all of these problems quickly, easily and permanently.

However, if you are wondering why would anyone want or should use self hypnosis to help themselves since there are thousands of other methods that a person can turn to, to improve themselves. Well, the answer lies within our own powerful subconscious brain.

In a 1981 article “The phenomena and Characteristics of Self Hypnosis”, Dr Erika Fromm discovered that our brain is more receptive to self suggestions, rather than receiving them from another person, because these self suggestions are more readily accepted by our ego.

Therefore, as long as you’re willing, you can positively align your thoughts around the area of your need with self hypnosis to help you create a definite focus for your mind so as to maximize your creative potential to accomplish whatever you desire from life.

With self hypnosis, you can learn to undo bad habits, like smoking or overeating. You can give yourself permission to be happier, more self-confident, less shy or more motivated – just by using the right message.

To achieve real change, you need to change your subconscious; and the best way to develop powerful influence over your subconscious mind is through self hypnotism.

Do you know the world’s top athletes and movie stars like Tiger Woods, Lee Evans, John Travolta and Oprah all use self hypnosis to help themselves overcome their failures and achieve their true potential.

If you are truly desire change and is ready to live a better, happier life, try Self Hypnosis today to make dramatically positive changes in your life.

The Dark Side Of Hypnosis

Books 1 Comment

Pretty much everything you encounter has a “dark” side, whether that’s obvious or not. Which means there is a dark side to hypnosis.

Scaremongering news stories aside, the dark side of hypnosis is often called “underground” or “black ops” hypnosis. Or sometimes it’s given a completely different name, such as “speed seduction”.

Whatever it’s called, you can be sure it exists.

If you practice hypnosis on people, you should always be ethical. Partly for the sake of the people you’re hypnotizing and partly for your own sake. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use some of the “darker” elements of hypnosis on other people. Just be certain you’re totally ethical about them.

Quite often, “dark” hypnosis is used when your subject isn’t placed into a hypnotic trance before you start using hypnotic techniques on them. From your subject’s point of view, you’re just having a normal conversation with them. From your point of view, you’re putting a number of not-so-subtle commands into the conversation that your subject will likely follow.

One easy “dark hypnosis” trick is to get your subject to imagine something. Because as soon as they’re asked to imagine, their conscious barriers melt away. After all, imagination is the stuff of fairy tales and they’re totally innocent, aren’t they?

You may even see your subject’s eyes start to glaze over or notice their mind has wandered. These are both good signs that you’ve put them into a waking trance. Any command you embed in your sentences from that point forward will drop near enough straight into their subconscious. So be careful what you say!

Confusion is another great way of getting someone into a hypnotic trance quickly and easily. Maybe your high school math teacher was secretly hypnotizing you with all those equations? Whilst someone’s mind is confused, it’s trying to resolve the confusion. So, again, hypnotic commands can be embedded in your conversation and will drop through to the person’s subconscious.

One good thing about dark hypnosis is that it can’t be used to subvert people completely. Despite what you may have read in some of the weirder parts of the press, hypnosis can’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do. Sure, it may reveal things about you that you weren’t totally aware of, but that’s another story.

As with all techniques, it pays to investigate them so that they are less likely to be used against you. You can find out more about the darker side of hypnosis here.

Speed Reading: Can it Change Your Life?

Time Management No Comments

by Kim Allarie

You might have read the hype about speed reading being able to transform your life by enabling you to take in information considerably more quickly than usual, thereby enhancing your skills as well as upping your value as an employee.

For a number of people, increasing their reading speed is the main objective, while for others, it is more essential that they develop their ability to comprehend and retain what they read. A high-quality speed reading program can do both, and consequently amp up both your personal and professional life.

The typical reading speed is around two words a second with standard comprehension. For ordinary reading this is probably sufficient, but with the help of a good speed reading program the average rate could be boosted to four or six words a second with similar comprehension.

But there are those who have very particular reading requirements and wish to improve their reading speed to ten-plus words per second with better than normal understanding. A comprehensive speed reading program with lots of practice and testing can help them reach their objective.

Many speed reading programs train students to rapidly search through the text to ignore irrelevant information and pick out the pertinent parts. The idea is to be able to gather the essence of the material through reading entire sentences or phrases as a block, instead of just individual words.

Improve Speed, But Don’t Lose Comprehension

Sometimes individuals who undertake to learn speed reading encounter difficulties with the practice of sub-vocalization. This is the tendency to mentally sound out each word while they read. In speed reading, a primary focus is on developing the ability to not sub-vocalize while you read. In its place, you are taught to concentrate only on the words that have significance to the general context. You will become skilled at intentional reading and will therefore increase understanding at the same time as speed.

There are various ways of teaching speed reading, as well as different ways that each individual learns. One method might work better for some students than another. Basically, speed reading endeavors to guide the brain to distinguish only important words without sounding them out mentally. If you have difficulty with one approach, find another speed reading course that teaches these skills in a way that will assist you to progress more efficiently.

Just like learning any new activity, you need to continuously practice your speed reading techniques in order to master the art.

Sarah’s 30 Notes Of Happiness

Happiness 3 Comments

Saw Jeanette’s blog about Top Ten Great Pleasures on things that make you happy, and I came up with a list. I did my own list when I gave a writing assignment some time ago, but I’ll type them out here. I got greedy and came up with 30 things.

1. Seeing a beautiful rainbow in the urban area. (just saw one recently and everyone was crowding to see it)

2. Buying new books. (my job allows me to buy hundreds of books, so I also love the process of choosing them!)

3. Receiving magazines I like in the mail. (love 8 Days for the latest TV show synopsis and gossips, Time and Economist for their current affairs, and Fortune for money)

4. Reaching home on time to catch my favourite drama serials. (I’m a TV addict.)

5. Chatting on the phone with my husband. (Sometimes we chat for an hour before I go to bed)

6. Finishing an entire drama series within 3 days. (TV junkie alert – Desperate Housewives, Jumong, The Legend, and this year alone)

7. Surfing the net. (Especially excited when I check out the deals, and the tips and everything else)

8. Reading a book lying down. (Bad for eyesight, but I love reading)

9. Getting the resident stray cat’s attention. (I’m a closet Cat Lady. Only I don’t feed them. I like to tease the cats by making some sounds, and it’s cute when they turn their heads to look at me.)

10. Getting great response from the people I work with. (Sometimes I have great ideas, and I try them out at work, and they enjoy the sessions.)

11. Laughing at jokes. (Some of my friends are very interesting people.)

12. Helping my friends analyse and visualize their dates. (I get so excited doing this.)

13. Eating cheesecake, warm chocolate cake or chocolate soufflé. (Yum, yum.)

14. Seeing my face or my article in the newspapers. (twice this year already. The next I want to see is my own book published. And lots more!)

15. Seeing my favourite car – Daihatsu Copen. (even if it’s not a good idea to own it)

16. Working out at the gym. (get to exercise)

17. Chatting with my brother and coming up with funny and cool suggestions. (too bad we seldom see each other even though we live in the same house)

18. Watching people’s pets on the Internet. (I used to sit in front of the computer and watch people’s pets on webcam. I don’t own any pets, so I compensate by looking at others’. Plus I even made a video about a friend’s Schnauzer playing.)

19. Reading my favourite blogs. (Quite a lot of favourite blogs such as Beverly, Karen Cheng, Valska, Jeanette among many others)

20. Listening, playing or doing something with music. (I want to write music. Maybe when I get my own work studio when my new house is ready. I’m a lazy singer who only sings once a week at my teacher’s place)

21. Travelling to beautiful places by aeroplane. (I like taking the plane, since I was a kid.)

22. Listening to waves lazing at the beach. (been to Bintan, Redang, Tioman, Hua Hin and Sibu, resorts in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand)

23. Having a massage. (lots of money spent on these.)

24. Discovering something interesting or new. (From internet, or my books. Love self-improvement books)

25. Getting room service at the hotel. (Coz I don’t have to tidy up. And I like eating in the room, plus I like having food delivered to my doorstep. I like staying at good hotels)

26. Checking my bank accounts, investments and other streams of income. (I love money! And having money to spend!)

27. Chasing celebrities from different fields from Asia. (My favourite is Ryu Si Won, Korean actor, I even appeared in some Korean entertainment show because I went to his fan club gathering. And another thou shalt not be named Asian Champion in some sports.)

28. Getting flowers from my husband! (When he has time, he will get them for me from the nursery.)

29. Getting a parking lot in a crowded place. (How can I forget this? 95% of the time I get the lots I want quickly and near to the place I’m heading.)

30. Working on my blogs. (I love blogging. Check out my main blogs at Singapore Profit, Wedding-Breeze and a few others.)

Tell me about your great pleasures, and leave a trackback to your blog! What makes you happy? What are the little things in life that cheer you up?
